About

A native to California, I was an inquisitive child with a love of learning and interest in people.  I received my Bachelor of Science in Microbiology/ Genetic Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Following university, with strong foundations in science, I pursued my intellectual curiosities as a genetic engineer in academic laboratories and the biotechnology industry.

Though happy with research, I felt as though I could make a greater difference to the lives of individuals in a more individualized setting.  Deciding to integrate my interest in science and my passion to help others, I pursued medical school and received my Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences.   It was in medical school where I found the mind body relationship to be paramount to the healing process.  I further cultivated the importance of the patient-physician relationship on compassionate healing during my residency training in Family Medicine at the University of California San Francisco, Santa Rosa.

For over a decade, I practiced with Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) and continued my training in integrative and functional medicine.  I am Board Certified in both Family Medicine and Integrative Medicine and am excited to bring my background in science, my passion for people, and my understanding of the complexity of health to my own concierge practice in Menlo Park.

I enjoy spending time with my family, endeavors in cooking, nearly all sports, art & architecture, reading & travel.

My Philosophy

Compassion and kindness are at the core of my approach to patient care.  I view health as a continuum of mental, physical and spiritual elements shaping the complexity of a person’s life.  I enjoy spending time developing meaningful patient-physician relationships to enable my patients to flourish.  As a board-certified physician in both Family Medicine and Integrative Medicine, I strive to blend the best of conventional, integrative and osteopathic philosophies to enhance the well-being of my patients.

For over 16 years, I have sought to bring my passion for health and healing to the inpatient and outpatient settings.  Understanding the subtle complexities about who a person is as a whole, as well as what gives their life meaning, has been at the center of my practice style.  My practice is designed to provide patients with the time and energy deserved to develop a life-long patient-physician partnership.
